Overall I’m pretty happy with the NYX Love in Rio shadows. Nevertheless I think this palette would be a great option for blue-eyed beauties – for my greeny-brown eyes I prefer warmer toned colours. I think the matte shadows are a little more powdery than the shimmer shades, and perhaps a little less pigmented. These shadows are a lot more neutral than the Bikini Bottom Palette, making them great for an everyday eye look. NYX Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette in Barefoot in the Sandīarefoot in the Sand consists of 3 matte shadows – a cream, a cool taupe, and a cool greyish-brown shade. However I’m still pretty impressed with this little number. The champagne is slightly more powdery and takes a little more work. The gold and brown shades are pigmented, smooth, and blend easily when applied with either fingers or a brush. My favourite of the 3 has to be the chocolate brown, it’s a beautiful rich colour that works well blended into the crease or all over the lid. Non retouched photo.īikini Bottom consists of 3 frosted shadows – a champagne, a deep gold with slightly olive undertones, and a beautiful deep chocolate brown with flecks of gold shimmer. NYX Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette in LIR19 Bikini Bottom – Swatched in natural daylight. NYX Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette in LIR19 Bikini Bottom cheeky) I decided to purchase the shades Bikini Bottom and Barefoot in the Sand. There are 22 different palettes in the Love in Rio collection, retailing at $9.95AUS – each with 3 shadows. To be honest, nothing can compete with my endless love affair with the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, but these shadows by NYX are a good little product for someone on a budget. I’ve always been a pretty big fan of NYX, and when they recently started popping up in Australian Target stores I wasted no time picking up a few eyeshadow palettes to try.
